WORLD WATER DAY

On March 22nd, we celebrated World Water Day. We took this opportunity to achieve the following goals:

1. Raise students’ awareness about the importance of water and the need for its sustainable use.

2. Promote understanding of the issues related to access and scarcity of clean water.

3. Encourage care and responsible management of this vital resource through educational activities.

All these objectives aim to help students understand that water is essential for life, is not infinite, and that every individual action matters in preserving it for future generations.

Students have created different posters giving some advices about how to save water. With their ideas, we have created a mural.

ARTISTICS WORKS MADE OF WASTE MATERIALS

In Arts, students have studied artists who create artworks using recycled materials, such as César Santos and Jane Perkins. After analyzing their works, the students were encouraged to create their own artworks by using recycled materials.

"Green  landscape": By using bottle caps, the students created a mural depicting snow-covered mountains beside a river and a green meadow. In the center, the recycling symbol can be seen, aiming to encourage society to recycle.

Las Meninas: Using pieces of paper, cardboard, fabric, and other materials, the students created their own Menina, a traditional pictorial figure from Spain.

Natural frames: Students have created paintings using natural materials such as fallen leaves, flowers, soil, and other elements from nature.

Italy mobility memories

How fast the week we spent with our partners in Sicily has flown by! It’s been an intense week, but we’ve enjoyed it and learned a lot through all the workshops that were organized. That’s why we wanted to create a mural showcasing some of the most memorable moments we’ve experienced together.

Calderá Primary & Kindergarten school

We visited Caldera Kindergarten and Primary School. We witnessed the hard work they are doing to raise awareness among citizens about the importance of taking care of water, as it is a limited resource.

Creative painting with natural materials

Our Italian partners led a workshop where we were invited to let ourselves be carried away by the music while painting on recycled cardboard. It was a deeply enriching experience, with emotions running high throughout the activit

Workshop on recycling materials: bookmarks

What a fun workshop we had! It involved creating bookmarks by using dried leaves. The students of Meri Primary School became our role models for creating our piece of art.
